SONG: SPRING IS HERE

I can see a rainbow,
I can hear the bees,
I can feel the wind,
Spring is here!
I can see the butterflies,
I can hear the frogs,
I can feel the sun,
Spring is here!
Goodbye winter, hello spring,
A new start for everything,
Goodbye snow, hello sun,
Letʼs go outside and have some fun.
I can see the cherry trees,
I can hear the birds,
I can smell the flowers,
Spring is here!
I have a runny nose,
I have itchy eyes,
I have hay fever,
Spring is here! ACHOO!!!
Goodbye winter, hello spring,
A new start for everything,
Goodbye snow, hello sun,
Letʼs go outside and have some fun,
Letʼs go outside and have some fun,
Letʼs go outsiiiiiiiiide, and have some FUN!

HOT CROSS BUNS By Charlie Alonso

Hello Mary! I’m Charlie from class 5A.
My project is: HOT CROSS BUNS

Hot cross buns are a delicious food.

Yesterday I make hot cross buns.

I was 2 hours preparing this food.

It was easy and funny.

The best was when I mix the mass.

Later, I make the mass in 12 little balls.
Then, I make the cross with milk and flour.
And at the end, I paint the hot cross buns and…

THAT WAS THE RESULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are better in milk .

HEY FRIENDS, YOU CAN TRY THIS !!!!!!!!

See you, Mary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Today is 19th March. In Spain, Portugal and Italy people celebrate Father's Day, but in other countries it's celebrated on different dates.
In the United Kingdom, the USA, Ireland, Canada, India and South Africa it's on the third Sunday of June. In Australia and New Zealand  it's celebrated on the first Sunday of September.
Children make cards to express their love for their dads.
Why don't you make a card for your dad to say...

THE MOST IMPORTANT FESTIVAL IN MY CITY

FALLES
( meaning FIRES in Valencian language)

FALLES is a very popular and traditional celebration not only in my city, Valencia, but also in many other towns and small villages. It starts on 15th and finishes on 19th March.
The ingredients for this festival are: fire, gunpowder, firecrackers, people in the streets, parades, music bands, flowers, paella, light and colour ...

A falla is a monument made by expert artists. The statues are made of wood, cardboard and other materials. In the streets and squares there are more than 700 fallesbig and small. They can be up to 20 metres high. The process of construction of a falla is long and hard word. It takes months and sometimes a whole year.

LITTLE LEPRECHAUN SONG

I'm a little leprechaun
Dressed in green,
The tiniest man
That you have seen.
If you ever catch me, so it's told,
I'll give you my big pot of gold.

I’m a little leprechaun
Imagine that
With my little green boots
And my big green hat
At the end of the rainbow
So, it’s told
You will find my pot of gold
I'm a little leprechaun
Dressed in green,
The tiniest man
That you have seen.
If you ever catch me, so it's told,
I'll give you my big pot of gold.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

TODAY IS ...

IT'S A SPECIAL DAY FOR WOMEN. IT'S ...

How many important women are there in your life?
Your mum? your granny? your sister? your aunt?
your cousin? your friend?

DID YOU KNOW THAT IN SOME COUNTRIES ......?

  • It is an official holiday.
  • Men give flowers and small presents to the special women in their lives – mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, colleagues, etc.
  • It is an equivalent of Mother's Day, and children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers (Bulgaria and Romania).
  • Groups of women usually have "women-only" dinners and parties on the night of 8th March(Spain and Portugal).
THIS IS THE SYMBOL FOR A  WOMAN

TIME SONG

We know that there’s 1 minute
If we can fit 60 seconds in it.

If we could stack minutes and build a tower,
There would be 60 minutes in 1 hour.

When 12 hours pass, then we’re halfway
To 24 hours, which makes a day.

And a week is complete in 7 days,
But the length of a month is harder to say.

They can be 28 to 31 days long;
One of them contains the day that you were born on!

January, March, May, July, August, October, December:
All have 31 days; all have 31 days.

April, June, September, and November:
All have 30 days; all have 30 days.

February has 28 days, but when it’s a leap year,
It’s got 29 days; it’s got 29 days.

The length of a year is hard to make clear,
‘cause one of every four years is a leap year.

The common years happen three in a row
They have 365 days, you know.

Then a leap year comes with an intercalary,
That’s the name of the extra day in February.

That’s why leap years have 366 days
And why February’s number of days can change.

January, March, May, July, August, October, December:
All have thirty-one days; all have thirty-one days.

April, June, September, and November:
All have thirty days; all have thirty days.

February has twenty-eight days, but when it’s a leap year,
It’s got twenty-nine days; it’s got twenty-nine days.

10 years is a decade,
100 years is a century,
And a millennium’s 1000 of history!
